I am very excited about the two next sessions of the Sunday Afternoons!

On Sunday June 3rd, we will be having a Halo 3 Beta special. We will be online from 4 to 6PM to play with the Belgian Xbox Live community.

It is always a great opportunity to get to know other people and have a great time together.

Then, on June 24th, we will be hosting the traditional monthly Sunday Afternoons session for the everyone, including Silver members. I am sure that it is going to be awesome!

The poll is online now and I am curious to see which title is going to be chosen this time.

XET Evening

Yesterday, we had our (first) XET Evening.

I must admit that I was kind of tense when I got there. I didn't really know what to expect for the meeting itself and as there are other Xbox Community related issues bothering me at the moment, the level of anxiety was high.

It all went really cool and fun. The attendees were both XET (=Xbox Elite Team) members, the Microsoft girls and guys with whom we have been working and from other companies we also have contact.

When I arrived, there were already lots of pizzas all around the cafeteria, some of the guys were gaming and I went to the table with the French speakers of the group to hang around a little bit with them (and to eat, of course).

After a while, we went to the meeting room where we watched presentations from Microsoft and other XET members (I presented my beloved baby, the Sunday Afternoons). We all exchanged ideas shared opinions, learned more about the plans for the future.

I left the meeting really happy for the things we seem to have accomplished and excited about the possibilities ahead of us.

As a community addicted, it is very rewarding to hear that there are people out there, people who can make a difference, wanting to listen to our needs, expectations and even crazy dreams (don't worry, I didn't scare anyone off - I think...).

We've got some scheduled maintenance coming up and want to let all of you know that both the Xbox Live service and Xbox.com will be offline and unavailable starting at midnight Pacific Daylight Time on Tuesday March 27, 2007 for approximately fourteen hours. We know you've got some questions, so here are some answers:
Q: Why? Why? Why?
A: Because we're giving the hamsters the day off. Seriously we just need to do some regular maintenance on the servers. We're not doing it to make you mad … really.
Q: Is this a Dashboard update?
A: Nope.
Q: So what's going to happen exactly? What's it going to look like for me?
A: You will see a "We're down for maintenance" page on Xbox.com and a similar message on your Xbox console.
Q: Fourteen hours? But that's a long time.
A: Yes it is. It's also 50,400 seconds. Count fifty thousand "Mississippis" and we'll be back up and running.
Q: What the heck am I going to do for 14 hours if I can't troll the forums, pwn my rivals, download stuff on Marketplace, and video chat with my friends?

Sunday Afternoons

Hi everyone,

For those who might not know it yet, with the support of Microsoft Belgium, I organize a monthly online event called Sunday Afternoons.

The next session will take place on Sunday, March 25, from 4 to 6PM.

I always create a poll so that the gamers of the Belgian Xbox Live Community can vote for the game of their choice.

Amazingly, Gears of War has won it again.

If you are or know any Belgian gamer (French or Flemish speaker), recommend the Sunday Afternoons.

Me, with the help of my friend Phen0mX, have a blog on the event and there one can find details about it and the Silver members can subscribe for the 48-hours of Xbox Live Gold.

I have noticed today that the ad for the next session is already on the Dashboard.

Xbox Live Party - Belgium

My Dears,

Even though I left a little early, I imagine that the Xbox Live Party is finished by now (1AM) and here is my summary about it.

Thanks to the Xbox Elite Team program, I could be there 2 hours before the event and check things out.
It was my first time at the Gunk shop, so I let my curiosity run free.

The place is nice (they are moving to a larger location soon though) and there is a little bit of everything gamers like: miniatures, collectables, etc.

There were 8 Xbox 360 running offline with titles like GOW, SCDA, Kameo, PDZ etc. Two machines were reserved for the event online when VIP played PGR3 with fans via the Xbox Live.

I talked to some people (not many to be sincere), took some pictures and made some videos. It was nice, but I can't deny that I missed the Community. There were quite a lot of gamers and you can see it in my photos, but I missed the people I generally game with (I met only one), the gamers I know from the forums and so on.

Sincerely, I wish I knew a way to get all those great gamers all together...

I still believe that no matter how many gaming-related titles I may have, they have little use if I am not able to connect all the amazing Belgian Xbox players out there.

Please, if you know the answer, tell me! Let's work together to reach more in the Community.

A little bit of everything

If you are wondering where I have been, the answer is whether behind my PC at work or behind my 360 at home.
I had to do some stuff in town today, so I got a day break. It was excellent to have some sleep, get the ironing done before the weekend and to check the community.

Next week, it is time for Windows Vista. YAY!!!!
I have just received the confirmation of my VIP invitation to attend the Official Launch at the Atomium in Brussels, Belgium. I have been there just once, but it was during the day. The emotion is already rising: Atomium, at night, Windows Vista, Office 2007 and Windows Live official launch?!? I am really excited!

It is not a new articel, but if all that talk about gaming being equal to violence disturbs you, check this out.

Did I tell you that restarted with Dead or Alive 4?
I unfortunately can't participate in all the practices of the PMS Clan for the titel because of the time different, but thank to CombatQueen PMS, I have been gaming with them on Sundays (late in the evening my time) and I am really enjoying it.

I am going off now. We are having a Sunday Afternoons this week and I want to have everything set today.

So much to tell

Hi everyone! How are you all doing?
I have been busy like crazy, but that is so not new. Work is driving me nuts already (and the year has just started and we are not in our "busy" period yet), clan practices are doing great and the Sunday Afternoons are promising even more fun for the Belgian gamers.

Did I say clan practices? Yes, I did!!!
The iPMS Gears of War division has officially started its activities and I am really very excited about them.
We count with a nice number of girls every night and it has been an incredible experience to get know the new ones and join the more experienced members once again.
From my side, I must say that I feel that I am getting there. For someone who plays shooters for just about an year, I am improving. The fact that it looks like there is hope for me makes me very happy.
Go PMS, go!!!

The Sunday Afternoons are getting bigger and bigger.
Now I count with Microsoft Belgium's support for the Silver members as well. We are offering them a 48-hour Xbox Live Gold trial for them to join the SA's sessions. If they sign in and attend (participation is imperative) three sessions, they will be granted with 3 months of Xbox Live Gold just like that. Isn't it great?!?
I am very happy and thankful for all the support they are providing me and the project.
I have pimped the Sunday Afternoons blog a little bit and I hope you like it.

What do you think about the news shared during the CES? I am totally impressed!!!
I am counting down the days to start with Vista.

Welcome 2007!

I know it is a little bit late to start posting about plans and stuff for 2007, but the fact is that I wanted to do so many things during my vacation that I got messed up. That is soooooooo me...

Anyway, I got myself the MP3 player for the DS and me likes it.

I must say though that I got kind of frustrated when I realized that the memory card was not included in the package. So it is cheap, but unless you acquire extra stuff, it has no use. By the way, headphone not included either.

I also got myself Marvel Ultimate Alliance.
It is a fun game. I have enjoyed it so far.

The Sunday Afternoons project keeps on growing thanks to the interest and support of Microsoft Belgium on creating a nice environment for gamers over here as well.
Yesterday, the Sunday Afternoons blog was created. The idea is making a reference place for the participants before and after each session. There, they are already able to vote for the game they want to play next time, share their expectations and thoughts and strenghten the ties with another gamers.

This week, XUG reached the mark of 40,000 members. It is a huge community, isn't it? And if you are looking for a home for your clan or team, check their Live Communities service. I am sure you will like it.

Unfortunately, it is not only good news. ESDJ, a gamer and the fiancé of one of the GamerchiX, was shot last December 30th and lies in coma at a hospital.
Please, if you have the chance, stop by Xbox.com and show some support to FirstLady and their relatives. I know it is little, but that is the little we can do and we can hopefully bring themsome courage and strength.

The GamerchiX are six-months old now, count with more than 750 members and that has inspired Dirty Diva shares her feelings and thoughts about it on the Gamerscore blog.

And what I didn't know about the GSB Podcast yet. It got me hungry while I was listening to it.

YLA G, one of the XET members like me, shared the news on the XNA in Europe.
The entry is in Dutch, but his blog offers the option of translating the entry into English.

Still on Europe, TR1GG3R MAN posted on his blog a list with the links to all sites with the European Xbox Ambassadors.
Just don't ask me why I am only in Belgium - French...

Archer, a iPMS PC member who has a really cool site on computing, has released a giveaway and is offering an awesome modded PC.

Xbox XET 360 - Bloggers about the latest XBOX buzz in Belgium

I have some exciting news to share with you girls and guys.
If you are a frequent present on this humble blog of mine, you surely know that I have joined the Xbox Elite Team, or XET, some months ago.

What is the XET?
It is a project of Microsoft Belgium. The members of this team are all gamers, from different levels, skills etc. who have one thing in common: the passion for Xbox.
I am proud to say that I am the only girl on the block, however I hope that more girls will be getting out of the closet here soon and that they will start showing the amazing gamers that they are.
We participate in events of Microsoft (and a few times also from developpers/publishers - First To Play Call of Duty 3 and the Press Event of Rainbow 6 Vegas - even though I always want MORE!), exhibitons, demostrations and tournaments.

And is the news?
Today, our Xbox XET 360 site was released!!!
Even though the basis are the members Spaces, we have a homepage with links to our blogs, feeds and more information on the whole program.
Isn't it awesome?!?

If you have already stopped by my XET Spaces, you know it is in French, but don't let it prevent you from dropping me a line and saying what you think about it or its content, PLZ!

Girls & Guys, I am soooo happy and excited about this step of the XET program...
I know I am a dreamer by nature. I do believe it is a sweet step that can put not only Belgium, but other countries, in the gaming scenario somehow.

I do hope the gaming industry will start to see us too and to give us a chance to deliver more to community by working as bridges and/or intermediators.

Podcasts and stuff

Remember I said that I had brought some work to do at home during my (short) vacation?
Well, I have had some problems (and mainly because I have a hell of a lot of things to do during this break) and I couldn't do much since Friday.
But guess what? My dearest boss (no, it is not sarcasm, I really admire him a lot - however he is not the only boss I have) sent me a message via my cell phone kind of pushing things and I ended up having to work until 3 AM in the morning to get the whole thing finished up.
Next time, please remind me not to take work to home when I finally decide to take some real break.

Even though my gaming life does get harmed by such things and, the fact that I spent at least 13 hours of my day busy with work stuff (including the 3 hours I need to get there and back), I am standing strong. This is what I like to do and I deserve enjoying it.

I uploaded two short videos on the iPMS Girls Night In we had last month on my Soapbox.
Except for me nagging every time I got stupidilly killed, there is not much of a sound because I was wearing the headset.
I hope it helps you have an idea of how special it was to me.

I was checking the site Games For Windows and it looks awesome. I am really amazed by the work they are doing on it.

If you listened to Major Nelson's podcast 203, you heard that he talked about the launch of the Xbox 360 in my homecountry, Brazil. Fortunately, he made a little slip up when he said that it is the first console released there. Atari 2600 (my very first one), Master System and others landed there too.
But Maj, if you need a guide when you travel to Brazil, count me in!

Maj's podcast is not the only podcast you can find on Xbox.com...

On vacation, but...

Yeah, yeah, yeah... I finally got myself some "longer" vacation (3 days), but needless to say that I brought work home.
I couldn't help it as our server was down yesterday for 3 hours and I couldn't print a thing. As it was the end of the month, I had to check a lot of things out and got caught because of the technical problems.
Wish me luck, girls and guys!

But not everything is bad news.
Thanks to Xbox Elite Team program, I was invited to the Finals of the Dead or Alive Guido Student Tour that took place yesterday in Brussels.
Guido is a program for students and that had organized events at student cafes (or should I say bars...) throughout last weeks and the time arrived to see who would take home a ski vacation or a BIG LCD TV.
I took some pictures and you can take a look at them on my Flickr and the videos are available on my XET Soapbox. And I will keep a track on info and material from other sites as well.

On a different matter I totally have to share this with you all: XUG now has a userbar application!!!

Awesome!!!

I was a couple of minutes late, but I did join the goddesses PMS Athena Twin, Lady PMS, PMS Mary Jane, PMS FR3YJA and Frantic PMS on the iPMS Girls Night In yesterday.
These women are amazing!
Of course that I totally got asswhooped by them (it was only my second time playing Gears of War online), but it was great!
The PMS Clan rules!!!!! And I adore them all.
Thank you girls for everything!

The New Year is getting closer, so I have been working on changing not only my Windows Live Spaces, but some other blogs too.
I started with some networking tools on my Newblog and an extreme make-over on MyGamerSpace and on MySpace (I even added the new PMS Clan store! Awesome!!! ).
This is surely just the beginning, and I'll keep you all updated about everything.

Last weekend, I watched Gamespot's cover on the Wii release in New York and I must say that they did a great work.
Every time I see Reggi, he earns my respect more.
Did you see that Wii Ambassador? Lucky girl!

A little more on Gamespot is the fact that I am back into action on the Team Ninja Clan Union.

Even though we, "Europeans", don't get even a tenth of the cool stuff that happens in the USA and Japan (I always nag about it, don't I? ), we are getting warmed-up.

iPMS Girls Night In

I have some great news for the European GamerchiX!!!

We are having an (informal) iPMS Girls Night In next Sunday, November 26 and we will be playing Gears of War (look for custom matches in Warzone, 13 rounds).
The session will take place between 9 and 11PM (GMT +1).

Changing things

As you can see, I have been playing a little bit with the lay-out here. Just changing things to keep the looks fresh.

Unfortunately, it seems that every time you "customize" something, you can say good-bye to the color settings. Even though it is much easier now than it used to be with the TweakUI, I still prefer the 'old times'.

Besides, I also added a feed to my (short) articles on the Gamertagblog on the Parental Control. This way they are easier to be found.

It was not here that I have made some changes. My XET Live Spaces was also a victim of a minor face-lift.

First of all, I added a Disclaimer to the site. By that, I want to avoid misunderstandings due to the fact that I am a member of the Xbox Elite Team. Whatever I might write about is my opinion, and only my opinion.

Also, I have added feed to TheFreeman's IloveXbox360.com. His blog is one of the "Friends of Xbox" in Belgium (the project does not have the same name, but these sites are linked to the Xbox.com too) and since I decided blogging in French, I think it is interesting to add news in that language, as well.

More new features on the Xbox Users Group site.
Now, they also count with a Chat and it is sweet.

I saw Elle's and Trixie's Zunes and I got green of envy. Not only I will have to wait an year to have mine, they have special pink ones as well. That is so awesome (for them)...

Hi everybody!
How has life been treating you?
I have some news that I want to share, but I will try my best not to make this entry too long, ok? So, here I go.

It is impossible to start with anything else than Gears of War.
If you haven't played it yet, do it! It is amazing both on the single player and multiplayer.

And it is very addictive!

From my side, I have sweet news related to the PMS Clan.
I am very happy/excited/delighted to tell you that now I am a member of the Clan's staff: Xbox Recruitment Leader.

Busy, busy, busy...

Do I need to say that I didn't game as much as I wanted?

It was for a good cause though.

First of all, I needed rest (but I have already written about it).

Secondly, I finally decided to stop by the hairdresser and to change my hairstyle.

It was extremely necessary!

If you want to see the results, be my guest.

Besides, it was time to start changing the color of the living.

I had mentioned it before, but the plan started to grow little by little and this week, it came true.

We made it a color per wall and I must say that the place looks much lighter and spacious now.

It is a lot of work, mainly when you are not a specialist, but it is worth it.

Sleep time was at about 6 AM today, but I am very proud of the results.

Finally, keeping the tradition of November 1st, visiting family.

I still dare dreaming about some gaming today, but we will see.

Great news of the past days: Dashboard update!

What do you think of it? I loved it! Looking awesome, the buttons are the coolest and the Xbox 360 is Zune friendly now.

Elle wrote another awesome article on it. Enjoy it!

Hello everyone,

Today, the summer savings time said good-bye. I am so glad now! I just don't like it at all.
Besides, I stayed longer in bed this morning and I didn't even feel guilty about it. I had an hour extra anyway.
Fantastic!

Moving ahead with my Parental Control 'research', I posted about the Game Ratings today.
Those ratings on the boxes are to be used.
It is good for the kids, parents and to the whole community. Believe me...

I have just spent some quality time with LEGO Star Wars II (ESRB E10; PEGI +3).
Sorry, but it did keep me away from the Live this afternoon.

AceyBongos stopped by my XET Spaces and dropped me a message. I swear that I was blushing while reading it.
All I can say is: OMG! OMG! OMG!

I never get tired of giving thumbs up to the work these guys do with their site/community.

Yes!
I finally took a break and man... I needed that!
This morning, for example.
I wanted to wake up 'early' to start working a little more on my other blog and stuff. Since it looked convenient dark outside, I stayed longer in bed. The thing was just that the weather was gray. The sun was never going to come out and I only realized it a little after 9AM.

Yesterday, I went to the movies to watch Jackass 2.
I laughed my a** off and almost puked a couple of times. Awesome!!!!

Is was wondering, is the Windows Live Premium only available in some countries?
I got the MSN Hotmail Plus, but the adds insist to appear in my XET Spaces... Not funny!

I watched a video of Gears of War today, but I have to say: the game is WAY much more impressive than that!
I had the chance to play it last one and I must say that it is even greater than what people are talking about.

Has anyone downloaded the demo of Tony Hawk's Project 8?
I don't know if it is because I have this major complex of not being able to skate (I swear that it is as serious as my complex of not being an awesome gamer), but I adored it!!!
I got lost Sunday and I was giving it a try while talking to my mom on the phone. Great fun!!!
