Live.com officially out of Beta
As a few of you have noticed (here, here, here and others) live.com is officially out of Beta!

We officially released our V1 a couple of days ago. We've been catching up on sleep the past few days and forgot to hit the publish button for our blog entry :) As of a few minutes ago our last piece of rollout is underway and http://search.msn.com has begun to redirect to Live Search.

We have come a long way together, since our release on 11/1/05. We owe our many revisions and improvements to your feedback... check out the pictures to see how far we've come (11/1, 3/7, 3/30, 6/15 and 9/12).

So what's next? some more sleep, a ship party... oh and a ton of cool features we have planned!

Windows Vista Launch

Do you believe it that there was sun in Belgium yesterday?!?
OMG! That is really exciting news!!!
I took my laptop to the varanda and enjoyed the good weather.
It looks like we are having another beautiful day today and guess what I will be doing?

It has been busy days.
E3 coming, trying to keep up with all the news and rumors, well-deserved growth of the Xbox Users Group...
Anyway, great stuff going on, but nothing is for free and all of us are getting really busy.

Another awesome news is that you can now download the Podcast 16.5 (E3 rumor control) of the XBLRadio.
Why is it awesome? Because I participated in the roundtable.
I stuttered a lot (was I tired? Nervous? I dunno...), but I had a lot of fun!!!
Rusty and Steve do a nice job with their Podcast and they keep a waiting list for those who might be interested in participating.

Funny stuff:

Did you know that Major Nelson speaks Klingon? Check the Ambassadors' list by language then;
My 360 is feeling lonely;
Sending messages via MyXbox Message Center is fun!

Today, I came online a little bit later than normal since I had to do some shopping and stuff, but when I returned I was .
What can I say about the new features at Xbox.com? Well, they are what we have been asking for a while.
I am really excited to see so much going on. It is great to see such a large team working together to deliver such a great service to all 360 fans. I don't think you can find it anywhere else.
Simply awesome!!!

Another thing that has happened is that due to the fact that XUG was featured on the Portal of the Xbox.com Community, the experienced a major growth.
It is great to see the work of the administrators, staff and members being recognized and being able to share with others.
Besides, now when you open your MyXbox, you will find a link for us.
Thanks to all my friends who decided to check the site out as well. It is a pleasure to have you there.

No gaming yesterday for me.
I felt so hopeless with you the Live.
Today it is a great weather here, so I am staying outside for a while before returning to the 360.

My 360 started blogging. He is a still a little bit shy, but I hope he will get more action coming soon.

For those who might have signed up to receive my Alerts, I would love to receive your feedback on the service.
I myself haven't received any Alert yet, so I was wondering whether it is really working here or not.

I have just listened to Major Nelson's podcast for this week and there was this exciting thumbs up about Xbox Users Group's site.
You guys and girls simply can't imagine how exciting it is to be part of such a site/forum!

Congratulations to MVP Rhyze XUG, StonyArc, everyone from the staff and, of course, to all the members!!!
It is thanks to everyone's contributions that this community is in constant growth and expansion.

I have just returned from my daily stop at Major Nelson's blogs and on his last post I found out the greatest idea in terms of blogging so far.
You are right if you thought that I had a new blog. Or maybe should I give my gamertag all the credits?!?
Yes!!! This blog is not one that you yourself log in and write your stuff. It is done by your 360 with love. Isn't the idea fantastic????
Mine still needs sometime to start speaking up its mind, but I am already curious to see what it will say. LOL

It took me longer than I expected to post here, but I hope you won't mind.
My schedule isn't grounded yet and I wonder when it will be anyway.
So, I will be sharing my blogs and forums with you today.
If any of you are also member of any of them, feel free to add me.

This is by far my most active blog, but not the only one, as I have already mentioned before. I like to join different sites to enlarge the network of gamers. It is great to get to know these people out there. Here is the list:

I own another MSN Spaces that I leave for my experiences as a PMS Clan member.

I am a member of some forums, but I have been more active in just a few of them due to the lack of free time.

First of all, I would like to say that I will probably start updating this blog every two days instead of doing it daily.
It is just that I do need to work on other things and manage my time better.
I have been spending way too many hours online, blogging, and little gaming or doing other stuff.
Things changed, so I have to adapt myself as well.
I will probably be updating the other blogs on the other days, so you all feel free to visit any one of them. The links are on the left column.

Yeah! That is exactly what you read!!!
As you probably have realized by the amount of blogs that I have, I adore writing.
So, in order to contribute more to the Xbox Users Group (XUG), I decided writing an editorial.
It was very informal. Just to give it a try. I didn't even check the previously discussed themes (shame on me, I know it. ) before starting it.
At the end, it seems that the admins liked what I did and since the site is a member of the Friends of Xbox Community, my article was published at the Xbox site.
This week, you can find it listed here. Otherwise, the direct link to it is at XUG's Portal.

I did it again.
I spent a whole day gameless, just working on my blogs.
I wrote a summary on my recent changes at my New Blog. I have been using it there for a while, but only yesterday I took some time to really personalize it. I did it all by myself (no online editors or stuff like this), so if you can stop there for a minute and let me know what you think, I will really appreciate it.

I was reading the news on Oblivion and I was astonished.
I knew Oblivion was going to be a success, but that much is really surprising to me.

I still can't fix the music here, but I might work on it later today, but since I don't want to spend another day gameless, I won't garantee anything.
I have just removed the counter to add my weekly music chart and it took me a lot of time (as usual when one works with two HTML sand boxes).

It is not that I didn't like the counter, but I like the chart better and I wanted it to always be there without me having to add it to my posts.

An Internet only day

Yeah! After days almost without touching the laptop, I spent the whole day yesterday just doing computer related stuff.
I wanted to visit all my blog pals (Spaces, MySpace and 1up), make some changes on my profile everywhere (I am letting the "Xbox Ambassador") and returning to my 360 look here (Man! That was really time consuming because of the two HTML sandboxes... ).
Besides, some house work was also postponed during the Free Weekend and I just wanted to put everything back to its place.

I also decided to share more about the Gamer Girls out there in my blog.
I will be sharing interesting texts/links about the experience of the Female Gamers out there.
There is a lot of going on and I have been meeting so many fantastic women that I want very much to make room here for all those amazing people!
I start with a text posted at the Wired News called Women Gamers Duke It Out.
We rock!

Xbox.com alive and kicking

I don't know how many of you noticed that the site of the xbox.com was down for a little while.
It was due to some updates being made and although the Live was not affected, the information to the gamertags were not available.
Everything is back on the track with some new features available on the site.

It is worth checking it out!

Gamertag and laptop

Finally I have my gamertag on my MSN Spaces.
It was not a easy thing to do and I am very glad Neda took her time to help me.
Thanks a lot, Neda!!!

But on the other hand, I had major problems with my laptop yesterday.
To make a long story short, I had to format my laptop after saving the most important files and I spent the whole morning today just updating the Windows and getting some important programs back.

Needless to say that I haven't been on the Live since then...
I don't think I will show up today either because I do have to organize a lot of stuff home, but nothing will stop me tomorrow!!!

New thoughts on the Live

When I started gaming with the Xbox 360, I didn't feel much motivated to use the Xbox Live. What I had seen so far was not stimulating at all.
On the Online Career mode, I used to get fed up with all those dirty players and never really wanted to give it at least a try.
My first impressions were the worse!
Then, a friend offered to help me with PDZ. I couldn't join them much, but I did have a lot of fun.
Since a friend of mine got de Live, I have been using it more and I have met great people.
It is not something like "making friends", but spending some quality time gaming with people who are there for the fun just like you.
It has been a great experience that has been changing my previous bad impressions.
I am looking forwarding to playing more tomorrow. I just can't wait!

More than 1,000 visitors!

Eventhough this blog is not even a month old, it has already passed the mark of more than 1,000 visitors.
I sincerely didn't expect it would happen that fast, since I post about very specific stuff (video games) and I don't know that many people in the "circle".
Anyway, I am really glad and I would like to thank each one of you who have contributed somehow for the growth of this Spaces of mine.
I still have to figure out a way to celebrate it since I was not really expecting it so soon, but for today I leave you with a picture of myself I like very much.

I just don't understand some people

This week was the week for me.

I unfortunately crossed with people that have nothing better to do than putting others down.

Maybe it is just me, but when I am online is to have fun, but from time to time, I bump into those who are specialized in spreading their poison all around.

Normally, I don't reply. I just ignore such attitude, but after being provoked three times by the same person from a certain forum, I had to speak up my mind.
Rudeness is not my style, but I have enough self-respect for not allowing people to step on me just because they have nothing better to do with their life.

Becoming a moderator

I am so happy today.
In one of the forums that I participate, the administrator was looking for moderators to help him out.
Well, as I have said sometimes before, I am not a pro-gamer, so I offered myself for the Movies/Anime session and for the General.
I love Animes and try to keep myself as much updated as possible with everything that has been released (from fansubs to licensed ones).
When it comes to General, it is just that I love being in touch with people. It is cool to get to know others that have something in common with you. So, why not?

I do hope I will not disappoint on my new function. I am really excited about it!

Another weird day

Yesterday I didn't play with the Xbox 360 at all because my bf was home. He deserves having his moments of fun as much as I do, but since he works, I think it is fair that he "takes control of the machine" when he can.

So, I played some Meteos DS, but not for long.

Today, I finally reached my rank 5 on the PGR 3. I am sooo happy! Of course that I more, but I am glad I got it.

Celebration? As long as it is without wine, no problem.

I woke up with a major hangover after last night...

Unfortunately, I didn't manage to play for as long as I had planned because a friend of mine came out of the blue to visit.

OK! It is always great to have visitors, but surprise visits are not really my favorites and he knows that.

I was still wearing my pyjamas since I was planning on taking a nap to recover from the headache.

At the end, there was no nap and less gaming. BUAHHHH!!!!!

In fact, it has already been taking some hours.
Whenever I try to connect, I get that stupid message saying that the service is not available. Does that mean that no one else has MSN right now or am I just in the bad server?
No Xbox 360 for the whole day and now, not even my sweet MSN?!? No!!!!!!!
I don't need just a hug but two now.

Problem solved

I was getting annoyed by the fact that I couldn't add banners to my profile and blog at GameSpot.
I like it there and I wanted my "page" to look like me, but it wasn't working.
At the end, it seems that the problem was nothing but the host of my images.
I was uploading them to GS and letting it so, but it turned to be the reason, since that it was solved by just changing the host.
At least, my babies are already there!
That is what I was looking for.

Going crazy on the Private Chat

I wonder if my friend will ever talk to me again on the Xbox Live.
Poor thing... I think I made him go nuts.
First of all, I accepted his chat invitation and I didn't even know where the mic was. I had visitors home as well and they decided then and there to start a conversation with me. (where is the mic?)
I found one, but it was from the Xbox not from the Xbox 360.
Panic!
I hear my friend, but... Well, I couldn't answer. (where is that thingie?!?)
My friend gives up, the visitors go out for a while and I find the mic. Too late....
I sent some invitations. No reply.
I went on playing.
I try again. The visitors return. My friend replies. I could barely hear him.
Then I started hearing some weird chat behind my back. (is it about me?)
Dinner is almost ready. Kinda.
Better end the chat session.
I finish the race.
"No more gaming today", says my bf.
Aww.....

I will try to be nicer next time.

It is really cool!!!
I don't fit it in the profile of a hot girl gamer, but I liked the idea.
