Blame it on SC IV

Hi everyone,

I have been away, I know. This time however, I might have been away from blogging but closer to gaming.

I have mentioned some times that the lack of free of time is a constant in my life so, I have to choose my activities. At the moment, there is one that is taking away all of my free time (and I am doing it with a lot of pleasure) and it is playing Soul Calibur IV.

You probably already know that I am loving that game, but what you may not know is that we are starting a PMS|H2O Soul Calibur IV Division and after sending my application and being interviewed, I was chosen as the division's Co-Leader. Man! I couldn't be happier than that.

Needless to say that I am keeping myself busy with it.

I finally made up my mind about the character I will be working on and it is Amy. It is not an easy task if compared to Talim, for example, but I am enjoying the challenge. ^_^

If you would like to join our Division, please visit the and let us know about your interest. We have practices at different times of the day to welcome gamers from all over the globe.

Have a great time!

SystemAddict: PMS Clan on Gaming

Hi everyone!

I have just read this interview and I would love to share it with you all.

Here is a piece of it:

"How would you compare the treatment of competitive female gamers today in comparison to when PMS first started?
It has changed greatly, and in a positive direction. PMS Clan has been around now for almost five years, and we earned our respect through hard work, dedication to gaming and maintaining our professionalism. To date, we have 9 top 8 placements in PRO events, mostly in our console divisions. We had to prove we were serious gamers; serious competitors... and we are continually working to grow and maintain the respect we have earned."

Awesome, isn't it?

One year of PMS Clan

Tomorrow, April 21st, 2007, it will be one year since I joined the PMS Clan as a member and I would like to share with you my experience so far.

I joined the PMS Clan forums in January 2006 because I wanted to get to know other female gamers. I had just started my shooters adventure and god forbid that I would join some hardcore guy online not only to squash me like a cockroach, but to make me feel even worse than that. Don't worry guys. It is not the image I have from male gamers anymore, but it was my point of view back then.

The largest all-female clan in the world! Just trying to picture it was already a hard work. "How many female gamers were there to start with?" The answer was: way more than I used to think. And man, they are that damn good!

I have incredible memories from that time. One of the first members (if not The first one) who came to talk to me was PMS GibGirl. How can I describe her? Amazing!!! Then, there were PMS Herbgoddess (now Kahlo PMS) and PMS Geekess. These girls changed my world!

Later on, I discovered that there was an international division on PMS formed by non-American girls. That was the chance I was looking for. I had tried by then to join some practices with the American girls, but the time difference didn't help. Or I had to spend the whole night awake or I had to wake up really early. Unfortunately, after a practice or two, I noticed it wouldn't work and I had to give it up. When GRAW came up, an international coed division was created and I started playing under the leadership of Cherish PMS and Jaded Goose H2O.

I can't say I ruled then, but I had lots and lots of fun. There were members from UK, Belgium, The Netherlands and Sweden and they were all amazing people. I have learned a lot from them!

As the clan's rules go, one has to go through one month Recruitment and if the attitude is right (attitude is the key on PMS Clan), after this period one is invited to become a member of the group.

When Cherish contacted me on Messenger to tell me the news, I had only three words to say: "Oh My God!" I just kept sending her OMGs for I don't know how long. I knew it was going to happen one or the other, but still, the honor was huge. There was nothing I could say to sound cool that get even close to the immense happiness inside of me. It was then, on April 21st, 2006, that PMS Love Angel was born.

Unfortunately, reality hit me and I found a job (not really unfortunately for having a job itself because it meant money, but because of the lack of free time). In the beginning, I did overtime almost every day. Or I arrived home too late for practice (yeah! I used to get home that late) or I was so tired that all I did was fell asleep on the couch. I missed months of practice and that was really a pity to me.

Then, the Xbox Elite Team came. Even though I didn't have that much time in my hands, I started missing the clan way too much. The professionalism of those girls simply surprises me and makes me really proud to be part of them.

When Gears of War was released, Frantic PMS suggested the creation of a division for the game and I was in.

On November 5th, 2006, I was invited by Athena Twin PMS to take part of PMS's staff. I still have the Private Message I sent to her and it went like this:

"Me drolls, me jumps, me rolls, me spins, me has tears in the eyes...
OMG!!!! YES! YES! YES!
The honor is all mine. You are my idols and I would do anything to help you out.
Just tell me what I have to do and I will be there for you girls.

*hugs*"

I am glad I didn't scare her, but I simply couldn't hold it on. A few days later, it was the turn of Love Angel PMS to come to life. I started contributing to the clan as iPMS Recruitment Manager.

Not long ago, iPMS faced the stepping down of our leader and I decided applying for the vacancy. You know those things that you feel you are ready and qualified for. Besides, my constant sticking my nose all over the place, wanting to help as much as I could, trying to get as many girls involved as possible and so on; gave me courage to take this step.

Since March 27th, 2007, I have been granted with the honor to represent iPMS, as iPMS General. I am really thankful and proud for the trust from the PMS Leaders and for the amazing support I have received from the other iPMS staff and members.

In this one year retrospective of mine, I can only thank each and every member and staff for the fantastic opportunities and great experiences. For the future, I do have many dreams (how could iPMS not be included in my crazyness???) and I hope I will be able to make at least a few of them come true. For me and for the incredible ladies (and gentlemen) I met thanks to PMS Clan.

Thank you all so much from the bottom of heart!

*with love*

Angel
