April 30 Cool sitesI have just returned from my daily stop at Major Nelson's blogs and on his last post I found out the greatest idea in terms of blogging so far. You are right if you thought that I had a new blog. Or maybe should I give my gamertag all the credits?!? Yes!!! This blog is not one that you yourself log in and write your stuff. It is done by your 360 with love. Isn't the idea fantastic???? Mine still needs sometime to start speaking up its mind, but I am already curious to see what it will say. LOL If you want to have one of these your own, go to 360voice.com. To check my own blog, clic on the imagine below (it will be available from May 2nd on). For those who decide to sign up, let me know it, ok? Congratulations for all those who are new Xbox Ambassadors! Be ready for a lot of fun and don't forget about the "important things" Trixie asks us on her email. Remember to make room in your Friends List and to be nice with everyone. Nice holiday to everyone tomorrow! *have fun* April 27 Busier than everI am still not gaming as much as I wanted to. Why? I am still busy. I have been having to do some "real-life" stuff as well and this is taking part of my time and a lot of my energy. But the good news is that yesterday's check went well. I still feel like "rushing" all the time, but I guess I will have to wait for the next one to be sure if it is anything I should worry about. I didn't want to leave you all without news from my side for long. I apologize. Now I can finally say: GRAW Co-op is fun!!!! I have just played one mission, but I adored it. Is there anyone out there who still goes for it? If so, just let me know and when you are generally online (hour and time zone, please). I would love to play them all with my friends. So, what is everyone up to? I miss "hearing" your news too. All I can say is that I miss you all very much. That thing of not posting here everyday is not good... Maybe it won't last long. We will see... *nice time everyone* April 25 A summary of my Internet stuffIt took me longer than I expected to post here, but I hope you won't mind. My schedule isn't grounded yet and I wonder when it will be anyway. So, I will be sharing my blogs and forums with you today. If any of you are also member of any of them, feel free to add me. This is by far my most active blog, but not the only one, as I have already mentioned before. I like to join different sites to enlarge the network of gamers. It is great to get to know these people out there. Here is the list: I own another MSN Spaces that I leave for my experiences as a PMS Clan member. I am a member of some forums, but I have been more active in just a few of them due to the lack of free time. If you want to check the complete, take a look at the list I have here. The ones I am still 100% active are:
Never forgetting the xbox.com forums, of course! Other sites that I help with are two Unions at Gamespot: The Team Ninja Clan Union and the XBOX 360 LIVE UNION. I'm an Officer in both. The most recent addition is XUG's page at MyGamerSpace. So, if you participate in any of those sites, don't hesitate to contact me there as well. *have a great time everyone* April 22 It is not over yetFirst of all, I would like to say that I will probably start updating this blog every two days instead of doing it daily. It is just that I do need to work on other things and manage my time better. I have been spending way too many hours online, blogging, and little gaming or doing other stuff. Things changed, so I have to adapt myself as well. I will probably be updating the other blogs on the other days, so you all feel free to visit any one of them. The links are on the left column. Remember the event in Australia? They did break the previous record! If you want to have an idea of the whole thing, check Major Nelson's pictures. More on XboxSnaps. A brief summary of my past week was:
As you probably have realized by the amount of blogs that I have, I adore writing. So, in order to contribute more to the Xbox Users Group (XUG), I decided writing an editorial. It was very informal. Just to give it a try. I didn't even check the previously discussed themes (shame on me, I know it. At the end, it seems that the admins liked what I did and since the site is a member of the Friends of Xbox Community, my article was published at the Xbox site. This week, you can find it listed here. Otherwise, the direct link to it is at XUG's Portal. I hope you will like it too. That is it for now! Thanks for all the messages and support! *have a great time* April 21 I don't know where to begin.I have something very special to share with you, but I will save it for the last (don't cheat and go straight to end of the posting, huh! Major Nelson has already shared some of his pictures in Australia. If you want to take a look at MS's preparations for the event, stop by at MN's Flickr. To read more on the balloon challenge, check the Team Xbox's site. I did play H2 yesterday! Do I need to say that I sucked?!? Well, I didn't know any of the maps I played in; every time I wanted to aim, I through a grenade (GRAW complex); figuring out who is my friend and who is my enemy is soooo difficult and the list goes.... It is weird to be a total n00b in a game everyone has already mastered. But I am going to try it again for sure! Another "news" is the third picture pack and the demo of GRAW. They are making my life difficult with so many awesome gamerpictures. If you haven't had the chance to see them yet, here they are. Did I say I had something to tell? You know what? I am not going to tell you anything. See yourselves! *a great weekend to all of you* April 20 Surfing aroundWell, after two days straight with headache, I hope I'm experience its end today... I game much less than I wanted to, but still managed to join my friends for some GRAW and again, I'm doing better than in the beginning. I guess it proves that I am on the right path, just need (a lot) more practice. Back to the world of female gamers, this week has great news (well, not really news anymore) about girl gamers. First of all, the podcast of Major Nelson with some of the PMS Clan leaders. It was my first time listening to his podcast and after that one, I will surely be a constant there. I did listen to it because of the girls. I have said it before, I don't think it is ever enough: I For those who might have not listened to it yet: Also, the Frag Dolls are moving forward with their USA casting. Needless to say that from the 8 finalists, 4 are PMS girls (You go, Girls!!!). If you want to know more about the group and the finalists, check the Episodes of the Casting Call. The first one is already available. Thanks for all the comments! *have a great time* April 18 And what seemed impossible, happens! When I went to the game shop near my place last Saturday, I saw that they were selling two second-hand copies of King Kong for only 26 euros. I resisted the impulse of getting them immediately because I am totally not interested in the media around the production anyway. Today, I had to go to the post office and I passed in front of the shop. I knew I would be there and I gave some major thoughts about it during the long weekend (it was holiday here yesterday). Guess what? I bought King Kong! So, I promise that from now on, I won't say "never" for any 360 game. I might end up adding it to my collection just for the fun when I find it a reasonable price. I haven't played much of it so far, but it is ok... It is not like I didn't know about it. The great news for today is that yesterday I got interviewed by backdraft123, and guess what? I am featuring in his Gamers Behind the Spaces this week. When I got his message I did some hop dance around the living. Well, there you can find a little bit more about me. If you want to check it out, be our guest! *have a great time* April 17 After a long break...This time I decided to take another break again. Besides sending "happy Easter" messages, I didn't do much the past few days. I had worked too much with the computer and almost returned to my headache routine. So, I had to stop for a while. It was not like I was completely away from the Internet, but I spent more time visiting forums and blogs and writing stuff that I might be sharing with you soon. I have been also reading a lot on games as a whole. I have discovered very interesting new sites with professional and independent material that has been catching my attention. More later... I played little. Even if one doesn't really celebrate Easter, there is always something to do, a family reunion and stuff like that. Anyway, I had a good time. Even though this site is in English and most of my visitors (if not all of them) are English speakers, I can't help annoucing the opening of the new Xbox Team Portugal. Not only the site itself has a new lay-out, but the content and philosophy about is different. I am again a proud member of the staff (I chose to help only with two boards so that I could cope it with my other Internet activities) and hope that this it will be to stay. ![]() A final note is about my also renewed GamertagPics Intro. I'm not sure about adding more pictures yet, but it looks much better now. All the previous templates were not well done and I didn't like it much. Finally, I can say I have an OK page there too. They do have a blog there, but instead of posting directly, I just use the feeds from here. I can't afford to have other blogs anymore. *nice week everyone* April 14 A late evening sessionEven though I though about spending more time in front of the 360 yesterday, I ended up again blogging my day away. lol I don't find it a bad habit, but it surely keeps me busy. Needless to say that I discovered another cool site to host one, and it is game related. If you want to check it out, stop by mygamerspace. I am new there too, so there is a lot to check around. The fact that I blogged a lot yesterday doesn't mean that I didn't play at all. In the evening, I went for my sweet PDZ again. I was missing it! Then, I went for some Bejeweled 2 because I am soooo behind my schedule. Today, I read about another Free Xbox Live Gold Weekend. This time, it will be sponsored by Adidas. I haven't seen anything about it at xbox.com, but for those interested, here is the article. I wonder how many will be around today since it is Good Friday. Anyway, I want to wish you all a Happy Easter! *happy gaming* April 13 I think I'm really improvingBe careful when you read the title... When I say that I'm improving, it doesn't mean I have become a good gamer. It only means that I think I'm a little less mediocre than I used to be in shooting games. For example, yesterday, I played again with my friends in the evening, and I noticed that I did slightly better than normal. Of course, if you compare to the good girls/guys, I still suck horribly, but let's say that I used to be much worse. Needless to say that I feel happy about it. Besides, it does give me some extra will to train/game more. Maybe there is really still some chance for me... The host of my files seems to be down again. It is a pity that it has been happening to frequently lately. Maybe they should rethink the whole bandwitdth free idea... I guess it would be better to have some limit and the site always there (and so the files), than having no limitation and lots of problems. My humble opinion only. *happy gaming* April 12 Blogs and gamingFirst of all, I would like to thank you all for the feedback. My Spaces is the only blog that I try to update daily. The others are more for reference and to broaden the gaming network. I am a newbie when it comes to coding and making my own layouts, but it is fun. And if it is for the purpose of making gaming better known (mainly among people my age and women), why not? Unfortunately, I noticed that the New Blog doesn't look that awesome with the IE and the music doesn't play with Firefox. Last evening, I won for the first time a GRAW match solo. It was a "Escort" one and I managed to win. I like that game type because it is pure fun, but I must say that I was happy that I finally did something. Maybe there is still hope for me. For all the Xbox fans, don't forget to vote for xbox.com at Webby Awards. The site was nominated in the Community category. Contribute by going to the People's Voice and showing your ![]() *happy gaming* April 11 Just InternetI did it again. I spent a whole day gameless, just working on my blogs. I wrote a summary on my recent changes at my New Blog. I have been using it there for a while, but only yesterday I took some time to really personalize it. I did it all by myself (no online editors or stuff like this), so if you can stop there for a minute and let me know what you think, I will really appreciate it. I was reading the news on Oblivion and I was astonished. I knew Oblivion was going to be a success, but that much is really surprising to me. Do you want to check the numbers? Here you go. ![]() I still can't fix the music here, but I might work on it later today, but since I don't want to spend another day gameless, I won't garantee anything.
I have just removed the counter to add my weekly music chart and it took me a lot of time (as usual when one works with two HTML sand boxes). It is not that I didn't like the counter, but I like the chart better and I wanted it to always be there without me having to add it to my posts.
*happy gaming* April 10 A little bit on different things...I didn't play that much this weekend. It seems that the new song is not playing here. I have changed it some days already, but I wonder what is going on. Probably the host site is not working that well as announced. This weekend, I also made some changes on MySpace. I have a new layout at http://myspace.com/bm2loveangel now and the music is different too. I might change a couple of things during the week, but not that many.
My bf got better and on Saturday we went to the movies and watched V for Vendetta. ![]() I changed my gamerpicture, but I see that most gamertags aren't showing it yet. I have the GRAW set now, so my gamerpicture now matches my the theme on my 360. Here I go with the first article about female gamers. This one is about the recent issue on giving a "different treatment" to women in the games world. Very thoughtful: Separate But Equal. *nice week everyone* now April 07 Less fun, but still coolOnce again, I went for my daily session of GRAW, but I was not that lucky with my matches this time. It seems that it has become common to have "friends" joining one team just to make it easier to increase the levels. So, you join a room, but people keep on deleting everyone until their mates "find their way". It does suck! And the more I play such matches, the more I see it happening. Well, that is life, I guess... And also me who is not into that winning at any price thing. That includes the achievements. Since I go for the training, I don't bother that much. I will level up when I level up. No rush. My boyfriend is home since yesterday because he is sick, so I haven't been playing that much either. Next week, I will be more around. *nice weekend everyone* April 06 Giving some "ranked" shotsIt has already a day or two since I started joining some GRAW Ranked Matches. It is that I rock, but well... I am level 2 now. It has been a fun experience, both because of the getting to know other people thingie and because I have been practicing/learning more. The more I play this game, the more I like it! BTW, has anyone already played "Escort" mode? It is pure fun!!! ![]() Giving continuity to the articles on female gamers, I would like to share one about a PMS girl (I Check about this Xbox Warrior here. *happy gaming everyone* April 05 Not that much, but still...Yesterday, I wanted very much to practice GRAW, but I just had (again) so much to do that I only connected late in the afternoon and then, I couldn't join my friends at all. We were 8 gamers trying to do some Campaigns but it didn't go well. When enough of us gave it up (including me), it all went well, but I was already restarting Oblivion. I didn't do much though because I went chatting with a new friend from Venezuela that I met during the Free Weekend with whom I hadn't had the chance to speak yet. Ariana (I love this kind of name, did you notice it? Late in the evening, I played GRAW again. Well, my aiming is still so bad... It is true that since I started having problems with my eyes, I have been training much less, but still... Time will tell... Changing the subject completely... Yesterday, I was again changing some stuff in my blogs and I wanted to put my music chart here, but it didn't work well, so here it goes: I will try to post it frequently so that you can see what I have been listening to. *happy gaming* April 04 An Internet only dayYeah! After days almost without touching the laptop, I spent the whole day yesterday just doing computer related stuff. I wanted to visit all my blog pals (Spaces, MySpace and 1up), make some changes on my profile everywhere (I am letting the "Xbox Ambassador") and returning to my 360 look here (Man! That was really time consuming because of the two HTML sandboxes... Besides, some house work was also postponed during the Free Weekend and I just wanted to put everything back to its place. I also decided to share more about the Gamer Girls out there in my blog. I will be sharing interesting texts/links about the experience of the Female Gamers out there. There is a lot of going on and I have been meeting so many fantastic women that I want very much to make room here for all those amazing people! I start with a text posted at the Wired News called Women Gamers Duke It Out. We rock! *happy gaming everyone* April 03 A general updateI finally managed to change the song here. It was not that I had forgotten about it, but the host was down for some days and only today I could upload Moonspell's Luna. I hope you will like it! The weekend was very busy!!! Not only because of the Xbox Live Gold Free Weekend but because of some stuff I had to do around here. I decided that I am going to restart Oblivion. My character doesn't "look like me" and it has been very annoying. Unfortunately, I am not sure whether I will have the chance to work on it on the following days, but I will make it. You have probably noticed a new banner here. It is for the site http://www.xboxusersgroup.com/. Now, I am part of the staff there. If you are already a member (Risputin I have been a member for some time and I love it! *nice week everyone* |
